Me wonders if the John Birch society thing was a catalyst for the church reading the non-partisan letter at the pulpit each election season.

The letter is read over the pulpit at election time each time to emphsize the church’s political neutrality. The church is a risk of losing their non profit status if the attempt to influence elections and candidates.
Thanks for including the link of our house sale, but I would have so much more enjoyed the link being included with other things other than anti Mormon literature.

One more thing – I would rather be left in the dark about the sneaking out. I want to remember you as an obedient, generous, loving son who adored his mother and would do nothing to defy her. (La-la-la-la-la – ok, I’m living in la-la land).

Uh, that site is a LDS blog, none of that stuff is anti Mormon. Just strange stuff from our history. If you look at any of their other posts you’ll see they’re heavily pro LDS.
