Photowalking at Sunset

The latest photowalk for the Photowalk Utah group was down in Draper. John, my dad and I took a look at the Pictureline store down there, got some tips on shooting at night, then headed off to the point of the mountain to take some sunset shots pointing North.

First, a group shot taken by this talented photographer.

We also got a chance to play around with the new Olympus E-PL1micro 4/3 camera. It’s tiny but has removable lenses like a SLR.   It has some fun settings, it’s a cute little camera.

How funny. The Olympus has a setting for a tilt shift effect?

You get the best light as the sun’s going down but I’m never able to get out shooting at that time of day. Frustrating.

The newest Canon digital SLR has the effect built-in as well. I didn’t realize it was so popular.

I love sunset because you only have to wait five minutes to get a whole new set of colors.
